“I produce story-driven content to create a memorable impact.”

About janine sheen

I’m a Perth-based documentary filmmaker and photographer, helping marketing professionals and business owners boost their publicity with story-driven content.

I specialise in capturing everyday happenings and distilling them into timeless and memorable images for you. I listen to what you need, provide guidance and direction, then transform your brand visuals into something you love, and are excited to put out there.

Save yourself lots of time trying to produce this inhouse, with a custom-designed shoot, creating a catalogue of imagery for websites, brochures, social media and billboards to last well into the future, giving you a consistent visual style, convenience, and promotional materials you will be proud of.

I can bring a unique perspective to your branding with the ability to connect with subjects, and create content that is relatable, and particularly when it comes to personal or sensitive shoots, I can help to create a comfortable and safe environment, resulting in better images and video footage.

My background

I’ve worked with people from all different backgrounds, and have over 20 years of experience in telling stories, including being awarded a Winston Churchill Fellowship and travelling around the world upskilling in placemaking storytelling.

My background includes working in TV documentaries (nee Boreland), managing a regional WA filmmaking workshop & screening tour, establishing the Indigenous Community Stories initiative, the Lost Generation Project (giving people experiencing disability agency), and the social history-place activation project Chronicle Scarborough.
